Ruby Slippers Theatre
Ruby Slippers Theatre needed a redesign of their website. They're a Vancouver-based theatre company that translates French Canadian plays into English translation. They've been in operation for 30 years resulting in a strong established brand for their theatre company.
The problem was their website hadn’t been updated in several years. The website wasn’t showcasing what was currently playing prominently and wasn’t mobile responsive. They expressed a need to make it easier for potential theatre-goers to easily see what’s was playing and how to purchase tickets. They also needed to convey their mission statement and give donors easy online access to donate to their performing arts company.
In order to convey the primary goal of selling more tickets, I decided to put the current season information directly on the homepage. Branding was taken from their existing collateral and logo design. We decided on a simple and modern style that was easy to read and featured their two main goals, ticket sales and donations, on the homepage.
I appreciated the clear timeline, your ability to listen and understand what we wanted, and the reasonable price. I think that our new website far better represents the sophistication of the company, and is a lot more user friendly. I would highly recommend [EMG Design]; quick, efficient, reasonably priced.
